The DeVil went down to Toronto

Before I get to the second comic about one of the most evil people in the world today. I better give a quick review about movies I've seen recently.

Superman Returns - (4/6) - Better Than Usual

It was a pretty solid flick. If you haven't seen it yet, go do so now. It's up to par with Superman I and Superman II. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor was pretty bad ass. I wasn't bored at all for two and a half hours. Brian Singer revived the franchise, which is pretty impressive, considering Superman III and Superman IV. By the way, I like Kate Bosworth as a blonde more.

The Devil Wears Prada - (4/6) - Better Than Usual

Sure most of you would consider this a chick flick. That's fine. It was a really good movie though, the dialogue was fresh, the acting was great, and Anne Hathaway was so hot, her image is permanently burned into my retina.

Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Man's Chest - (3/6) - Just satisfying

I was feeling terrible in the last 15 minutes of the film, so maybe I can't judge this fairly. It had a lot of the major components of a good movie, action, some funny moments, and a pretty cast (Keira Knightley is ridiculous. Only 21 too.)

It just wasn't as good as the first one. Do I think that the third one may be much better and this will be the black sheep of the trilogy? I do. I also don't think there's anything particularly wrong with the film and that there's no reason not to watch it.

So that's it for reviews. Clerks II and Miami Vice are next on the docket. Now it's time for another comic about one of the most twisted people I know and how I survived after meeting her (Sorry, Dino Riders, but this just may be the greatest battle in the universe).

Alright, so the battle hasn't truly begun yet but I'm getting there. It seems for now that this is a semimonthly comic, so visit again in a couple weeks.

Brand New

So I said in my other blog, that I would put a comic strip that doesn't involve Mark and Danielle. I'm doing just that. I'm not sure if everyone who reads this will know who the main character is based on. Well, as I've said in another post or two, it's based on someone that I've nicknamed little sis/DeVil. I don't like using nicknames in my comic strips though, so I've chosen to use the names Victoria and Mitch (her boyfriend). Now, this may be a complete bust but I just thought of the idea and I'm going through with it. It's completely over the top and I'm not even sure what I'm going for here. We'll see what happens. Hell, the comic series, Dino Riders only had a few issues.

See what I mean by over the top? The "real Victoria" is actually the complete opposite of what's depicted here. I think she's made up of pixie sticks or something. That's why I thought it would be kind of crazy to present her like this. Obviously, my initial idea of this being a single comic strip has changed. I'm thinking that it could be a short series though.
